Determination – Having that “Can Do” Spirit

Dog gone it! If I can succeed at working from home, you can too. You can too! You know what? I don’t have the time to sit and write long disertations I see on a lot of other blogs. They are really good, don’t get me wrong. But between training a new caregiver, going to networking meetings, family obligations, the myriad of unexpected important distractions that come up, and being very scattered in my brain already, I don’t have the time nor the energy to research and write long-winded and detailed blog posts.

It took over an hour this morning to learn a new technique for putting up ads. I thought to myself, “I don’t have time for this!”  But then I remember my “why”, the reasons why I’m learning internet marketing and I press on. I think about the alternative, working for someone else OUTSIDE my home and it gives me a new determination to be successful at learning the intricacies working from home on my computer.

Yes, I think about my “Why”. And I am determined more than ever to press on. One of my “whys” is to say to other caregivers, parents of special needs kids, disabled, and people in other difficult circumstances that if I can do it (be successful working for myself) so can you.

Determination is such a key element when working for ourselves. There is no one standing over us telling us what to do and when to do it. There is no time clock to punch. But there is also no guarantee of any certain amount of income. It really depends on our own grit and determination.  Another day I will talk about “enjoying the journey”. But not today. Today the key concept in my mind is DETERMINATION. That “can do” element. The determination of the will.

So here it is again. No matter what you might be struggling with today,  you can do it. We will overcome! We can succeed and we will!

Expect Success and keep going!
